Offered on consignment is this beautiful 1973 Volkswagen Type 2 Kombi Euro Top Camper Van

Type 2 Volkswagens are one of the most iconic vans of all time, instantly recognizable and timeless. The Kombi van was the camper version of the Type 2 van featuring a pop top, sink, and rear seats that fold into a bed. This example has been very well cared for in its life, with maintenance records going back as far as 1990, and a lot of major work done in the last 10 years totaling over $25,000 in receipts. In 2009 the van had some paint and bodywork done but was fully restored in 2016 and is documented with photos and invoices. The engine was replaced with a larger rebuilt 2.0L unit and it starts up and runs great, with good power and only a few hundred miles on it. The interior of the van was also gone through in 2005, with new upholstery and carpet and all door and window seals have been replaced as well. This Kombi is in excellent shape and is a head turner, but still has the character and story you want when you get into an old VW. Along with this lovely van, the new owner will receive all the receipts dating back to 1990, photos of the restoration, as well as several VW catalogs and magazines. The current owner is the 3rd owner, and the odometer reads 16,972 Miles but has rolled over making the mileage 116,972.
